The BRVM closed its trading session on Wednesday, June 4, 2008, slightly lower than the previous day. The BRVM Composite index lost 0.77%, dropping from 242.68 to 240.81 points. The BRVM 10 index closed at 280.86 points down 0.94%. The value of the transactions was 453.83mn CFA francs, compared to the 412.34mn CFA francs reported the previous day. The number of securities traded climbed to 72,670. Stock market capitalization was 4,502,160,338,420 CFA francs while that of the bond market rose to 6,245,502,692,130 CFA francs. On the bond market, 1,921 bonds were traded for a total value of 19.21mn CFA francs excluding accrued coupons.
