The BRVM closed its fixing session on Friday, June 6, 2008, slightly lower than the previous one. The BRVM Composite index lost 0.36%, dropping from 239.57 to 238.71 points. The BRVM 10 index closed at 279.14 points down 0.40%. The value of the transactions was 675.74mn CFA francs, compared to the 13.91mn CFA francs reported last session. The number of securities traded climbed to 178,261. Stock market capitalization was 4,462,963,687,445 CFA francs while that of the bond market rose to 623,239,692,130 CFA francs. On the bond market, 1,656 bonds were traded for a total value of 16.56mn CFA francs excluding accrued coupons.
