The BRVM closed its fixing session on Friday, August 8th, 2008, slightly lower than the previous one. The BRVM Composite index lost 0,75 %, dropping 245,52 to 243,68 points The BRVM 10 index closed at 277,56 points. The value of the transactions was 216.98mn CFA francs, compared to the 654.06mn CFA francs reported last session. The number of securities traded climbed to 99,306. Stock market capitalization was 4,561,143,544,465 CFA francs while that of the bond market rose to 513,315,498,018 CFA francs. On the bond market, 270 bonds were traded for a total value of 2.7 million CFA francs excluding accrued coupons.
