The BRVM closed its trade session on Thursday, July 31, 2008, slightly higher than the previous one. The BRVM Composite index rose to 0.12%, climbing from 242.25 to 242.54 points. The BRVM 10 index closed at 276.5 points up 0.02%. The value of the transactions was 127.68mn CFA francs, compared to the 196.1mn CFA francs reported last session. The number of securities traded climbed to 316,494. Stock market capitalization was 4,539,814,347,785 CFA francs while that of the bond market rose to 513,320,142,000 CFA francs. On the bond market, 357 bonds were traded for a total value of 3.57 million CFA francs excluding accrued coupons.
