[2008-06-05]  BRVM sold shares worth 13.91bn CFA franc on Thursday
The BRVM closed its fixing session on Thursday, June 5, 2008, slightly lower than the previous day. The BRVM Composite index lost 0.51%, dropping from 240.81 to 239.57 points. The BRVM 10 index closed at 279.14 points down 0.61%. The value of the transactions was 13.91bn CFA francs, compared to the 453.83mn CFA francs reported last trading session. The number of securities traded climbed to 136,926. Stock market capitalization was 4,478,946,174,060 CFA francs while that of the bond market rose to 623,239,692,130 CFA francs. On the bond market, 2,105 bonds were traded for a total value of 20.96mn CFA francs excluding accrued coupons.
