[2008-01-29] Iran, Indonesia sign deal for cooperation in stock exchange Iran and Indonesia signed an agreement in Jakarta on Monday for cooperation in stock exchange.
Head of Iran's Stock Exchange Organization Ali Salehabadi and Head of Indonesia's Capital Market and Financial Institutions Agency Fuad Rahmani signed an agreement in Jakarta for information sharing, raising liquidity level in their stock exchange markets, and exploring opportunities for strategic cooperation in the field of stock exchanges.
The signatories to the agreement then discussed a plan of action for such cooperation.
Based on statistics, Indonesia's stock exchange took the second place after China in the list of Asian stock exchanges for more than dlrs 200 billion worth of stock exchanges in 2007.
