NIC customers will now be able to make transactions from the comfort of their office desks without necessarily having to physically visit the bank. “The costs to access NIC online are relatively cheap compared to the bank branch charges. We believe that customers will be happy with the affordability of this channel vis-à-vis the benefits the system offers,” he said.
Among the features of the system is the e-pay, which allows corporate and business customers to make lump sum batch transfers such as salaries and supplier payments and also send out dividend and pension payments
