[2008-07-29] KCB to Teach SMEs
Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) has entered into partnership agreements with enterprise development experts to offer business incubation services and expert knowledge on conventional ways of doing business to its small and medium size business customers, both in formal and informal sectors.
The incubation service will premier in Kenya but spread to the regional market where the bank has branches before close of the year.
KCB Group chief executive officer, Mr. Peter Munyiri speaking at a KCB Biashara Club workshop held in Nairobi said the bank was exploring more ways of supporting entrepreneurs to grow and discover diverse business opportunities in the local, regional and international markets through vital linkages with Non- Governmental Organisations, international organisations like UNDP, local Universities, and export promotion council.
Besides networking, KCB Biashara Club members benefit from preferential interest rates on loans advanced and any investments placed with the bank, training opportunities to equip the club members with basic skills.
